Old style computer monitors, also known as CRT monitors are items the we unfortunately, have to charge to take in. You see Tube monitors and televisions are not resellable, and to recycle them we have costs associated with the process.

We recycle tube monitors every day, but we charge to do so. The tubes on these monitors have lead in them, and that lead has to be dealt with, hence the cost... Your city may have a program whereby they take them in for free, so try to call your local municipality so that it doesn't cost you anything and just bring us the stuff that you get paid for!

Did you know that we pay $5 for a computer? If you wanted to bring back $5 worth of cans to a grocery store you would have to gather up 100 cans. That's a big garbage bag full. It would probably take up the entire back seat of your car.
